Strawberry Blossom Tours - Ideal for School Field Trips

Strawberry Tour is an ideal school field trip

Kids Feeding Animals on School Field Trip

Available in May for Children ages 4-10.

Spring is a wonderful time to visit the farm. Baby animals are arriving and the strawberry plants are blooming. Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm offers an exciting and educational tour. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, this family farm provides a great interactive experience that children will long remember.

  • A fun hayride to the blooming strawberry fields where the farmer will explain how he plants and cares for the Strawberries. The wagons are covered so the tours go rain or shine.
  • An educational presentation about strawberries and how they grow will be given in the turn-of-the-Century barn. A story featuring Suzy Strawberry and a puppet named Blossom, will help the children learn important Agricultural Concepts.
  • An exciting opportunity for the children to see, hold and pet baby farm animals (chicks, ducklings, lambs, piglet, kid, and calf) will be offered. The children may also feed the sheep and goats.
  • This is a real farm experience as well as an educational tour. Everyone receives a dormant Strawberry Plant to take home and instructions about how to plant it.
